looking for homes

Burnley Dog Rescue was started up in 1986 by Joan Taylor, (now the chairperson of the committee), with the aim of placing dogs in Foster Care until permanent homes could be found for them. In 1988 we received our official charity status and since then things have gone from strength to strength.

Today we are always looking for foster homes for dogs. Foster carers can choose if they want to care for a dog, bitch, adult dog or puppy.

We provide them with beds, bedding, food, collar & lead and all medical treatment the dog may need.

This website is intended to introduce you to some of the work we do, the dogs we are currently seeking to home and some of our success stories

JakeFrom time to time we have dogs who are a special case in our care.

Often these dogs need a special and caring home.

When we do so, you can read their story here.
