One of Burnley Dog Rescues success was to home a little dog called Bracken. The dog went to Agility Handler Petra Craven-Houghton. This is her story.....

An eventful year of 2004,we qualified for the Midi Agility Final @ Newton Heath in Tatton Park, unfortunately we were "Eliminated ",but it was great to be there !! Bracken was the Top Midi Dog of the North-West 2004 & we went Advanced !!! And got enough points to be awarded Agility Warrant so that Bracken can now have A.W. after her Kennel Club name. 2005 went onto be another cracking year, we again qualified for the now Semi-Final @ Newton Heath in Tatton Park & went on to be placed in the top 10. And we were off to Olympia Christmas Horse Show, were we came 6th in the Midi Jumping & 4th in the Midi Agility !!! & the crowd loved Bracken or "The Rat" as she is affectionately known. We went to the Kennel Club stand, after the competitions & Bracken drew an amazing crowd of all the pony club kids, what an adoring fan club for her !!!!! & she rose to the occasion, like a true superstar !! They all wanted to stroke "The Rat".

The top 10 from the Semi-Final are also invited to Crufts 2006 to a Midi Agility Final. Adam Wildman who runs her as a junior handler, Ran her at Crufts 2005 in the Junior Handler Midi Agility & was filmed by the BBC,& this went out live on National TV.In 2005 Adam qualified her for the semi-final Junior Handler Midi Jumping for Crufts 2006 @ Stoneleigh. Unfortunately she was "Eliminated". But all was not lost & he won the Junior Handler Midi Agility, & this has taken him automatically to Crufts 2006 !! We are still on a roll & have qualified again for the Semi-Final K.C. Medium Agility 2006 @ Newton Heath. & Bracken is Top Midi Dog of the North-West 2005 !!!!

This year 2006, we are chasing Championship Status, whether we are successful or not we shall have lots of fun trying !!!!! She certainly is a true superstar !!! A very loyal, loving little dog who loves to bake in front of the fire or bask in the sunshine. Who hates the rain, wind & cold..........................unless she is chasing a rabbit or two !!!!!

I'm so glad that you allowed me to offer her a home.
Look forward to speaking or emailing to you soon.
Kind Regards Petra & Bracken
