Established in 1978 and Based North of Preston
in Lancashire, Wyre Dog Agility Club has about 40 active members of
all standards (but all improving!) and with all breeds of dogs.
We are a friendly club who take part in lots of events and shows
throughout the country.
We train at Myerscough College Equestrian
Centre, just
off the A6 about 10 minutes north of Preston. Training is on Thursday
night from 7.30 to 10.30.
Regular weekly training is split up into structured classes ranging
from beginners through to senior/advanced dogs and handlers, and
in addition there are rings set up where handlers can train on their
own, working on whatever equipment they want and special training
days with top handlers as instructors are held as fairly regular
events.
As well as Bronze, Silver and Gold
awards trained for and tested throughout the year, the club has
end of year awards for:
Best starter dog , Top dog, Top mini dog and Most improved dog.
There is also a team competion within the club.
